Teachers Salary Subsidy (TSS)


Program Description

Teachers’ Salary Subsidy (TSS) is a DepEd program that aims to improve the quality of participating private junior high schools in the ESC by providing an annual salary subsidy to qualified teachers. Such teachers are called TSS recipients.

This school, the Ateneo de Davao University Junior High School, is receiving financial subsidy for the EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CONTRACTING (ESC) and TEACHERS’ SALARY SUBSIDY (TSS) from the government through the Department of Education. (DepEd Order 20 s. 2017).

Ateneo de Davao University Junior High School is an ESC-participating JHS.

The PEAC has been contracted by the DepEd to administer the ESC and TSS programs.

TSS Online Applications for S.Y. 2024-2025

1. Eligibility

A. PRC licensed teacher

B. Teaching ESC grantees

C. With at least 1 teaching load in CLE, English, Filipino, ITLE, MAPEH, Math, Science, Social Studies, Library Instruction Program and Psychology Education

D. Full-time employee of ADDU JHS

 3. Online Application Procedure:

Applications shall be done online. Application is done annually therefore all eligible applicants must submit the form. Failure to submit an application form with requirements on time shall forfeit your chance to avail the subsidy.

REQUIREMENTS

DULY ACCOMPLISHED ONLINE APPLICATION FORM WITH UPLOADED:

CLEAR PHOTO OF UNEXPIRED PROFESSIONAL TEACHER LICENSE or alternative:

– Licenses must  be valid from June 1, 2025 onwards. Licenses expiring May 31, 2025 or earlier will NOT be accepted.

– Front and back photos must be submitted in one (1) PDF file.

– File Name: LastName_PRC_LicenseExpiryDate.pdf (Example: Veruasa_PRC_09102025.pdf)

Alternative:

a) For those who are currently processing their new/renewal license applications, submit a clear screenshot/photo of your APPLICATION FOR PROFESSIONAL IDENTIFICATION CARD (PIC) showing your appointment schedule. Visit https://online.prc.gov.ph/ for new/renewal PRC license applications.

b) For those who recently passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers, submit a clear photo of your CERTIFICATE OF RATING.

CLEAR PHOTO OF MARRIAGE CONTRACT – Additional requirement for Married Teachers whose Licenses / Certificate of Rating bear their maiden names. Please include this document in the same PDF file.

If you submitted an alternative document, you must still submit a copy of the front and back photo of your unexpired license once it is already available. Email it to jhs.a4hs@addu.edu.phz

STEP #4: Duly accomplish the online form and upload requirements in the form. LINK AVAILABLE AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE.

If you are a TSS recipient for SY 2023-2024, there is no need to re-upload your PRC license if the license submitted for last school year is still valid from June 1, 2025 onwards. The same goes for the marriage contract.

4. Computation of TSS 

DURATION OF TEACHING

Full 10 months 

with at least one (1) teaching load

9 months or less* 

with at least one (1) teaching load

 

*Teachers availing any type of leave (e.g. personal, sick, maternity, education, etc.) within 10 months in service will not be able to avail the subsidy in full.

*Full-time licensed teacher given at least one (1) teaching load for less than 10 months.

SUBSIDY AMOUNT Php18,000 Php 1,500 x number of months teaching

5. Releasing of TSS

Subsidy amount to reflect in the TSS recipient’s payroll at least three (3) months after billing approval. 

TSS recipients whose employment status is not active (on-leave/resigned/retired) during the time TSS payment is available may contact Ms. Renee Rose Cortes of the Finance office at (082) 2212411 local 8282 to request for a check for TSS payment.

TSS Payroll Signing for Previous S.Y. 2023-2024

Before applying for TSS for this school year, last school year’s TSS recipients are to personally visit the Admissions, Aid and Alumni Affairs Office during office hours to sign the payroll document.
